Containment & spill kits
Range of spill kits for the safe containment of spills.
Spill/Leak Procedure
Remove any other chemical containers. Ventilate area.
Wear chemically resistant apron or overall, safety goggles or mask, impervious gloves and Wellington boots.
Do not allow to enter foul or surface water drains.
If spillage does enter foul or surface water drains the relevant authority must be immediately informed, namely:
Spillage to foul drains - inform the effluent treatment plant (either site or local authority)
Spillage to surface water drains - inform The Environment Agency.
Contain and absorb any spillage with inert material (sand, earth or vermiculite) and mix well.
Collect up and remove to safe place until disposal.
Wash site of spillage thoroughly with water.
