E-Learning Information
Training in the effective handling of cleaning chemicals is a critical element of hygiene but releasing staff to sit through a presentation and test is often time consuming and difficult to organise. Holchem is pleased to launch a four module e-learning package specifically aimed at those engaged in cleaning a food production environment.
As a requirement of the BRC Global Standard for Food Safety (version 6) all operatives engaged in duties critical to achieving food safety must be able to demonstrate their competence and in no area of the operation is this truer than the hygiene function where a lack of awareness and understanding can have far reaching and serious implications. However, releasing operatives en-mass for the traditional “chalk and talk” type of training session, often followed by a test, is not always the best option for site’s with limited numbers of hygiene operatives or where the available hygiene window is limited.
To address this issue Holchem Laboratories, past winners of the SoFHT Best Training Company award, have launched a four-module e-learning package running exclusively over the Internet and aimed at those operatives engaged in the vital task of delivering a safe food manufacturing environment.
The modules cover the reasons for cleaning, cleaning technology and methods, chemical identification and the safe handling of chemicals with each section being accompanied by its own interactive assessment to test both knowledge and understanding.
Each of these modules can be accessed individually and last about 15 minutes – giving a total tuition time of approximately one hour.
An individual certificate is produced at the end of the final module which can be placed in the individual’s training file demonstrating the successful completion of the training course.
