Foam Application Equipment

Foam is created by mixing water, detergent and air together and applying it via a hose with a special nozzle or lance onto the surfaces and equipment.  The foam detergent will typically be applied at 3 to 5%v/v, depending on the soil to be removed, materials of construction and water hardness.

Three common types of equipment are employed to apply detergents as foam: 

The high pressure injector requires no electricity and is driven by the water flow.  The unit is usually attached to a high-pressure outlet point (via a mobile machine or fixed pipework drop point) with the normal high-pressure hose and gun but with a specialist foam lance attached to it. 

The Dema Portable Foam Unit is a non-pressurised fully mobile foam generator requiring only an air supply. The reservoir is filled with pre-diluted foam detergent solution and connected to an industrial air supply. The air supply operates the on-board pump, which draws the pre-diluted foam detergent out of the reservoir. A single adjustment valve allows the dryness of the foam to be adjusted. A 10 metre (Dema) or 20 metre (Technifoamer) foam hose, control valve and foam nozzle allows the application of high quality foam to an area.

The units can be used to generate foam, apply gels (as a gelled liquid or as a mousse), or spray detergents and disinfectants (nozzle size and design will need to be changed to suit the application).

The Jetstream 850 Canister Foamer is a fully mobile foam generator requiring only an air supply. The canister is filled with pre-diluted foam detergent solution and connected to an industrial air supply. A 15 metre foam hose, control valve and foam nozzle allows the application of high quality foam to an area.

A single adjustment valve allows the dryness of the foam to be adjusted. The units can be used to generate foam, apply gels (as a gelled liquid or as a mousse), or spray detergents and disinfectants (nozzle size and design will need to be changed to suit the application)
