David Childs, Technical Service Manager of Kersia UK has been appointed, onto the council, as one of the Directors of the Society of Food Hygiene and Technology (SOFHT); after a vote held during their Annual General Meeting as part of their Summer Conference at The National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire on Thursday 16th June 2022.
David’s role will be to work with the other SOFHT Directors to help develop SOFHT events, training, technical advice, guidance, education, promote the food industry within academia, to encourage students into this exciting and innovative industry and to help grow their membership.
On his appointment to SOFHT, David Childs said:
I am delighted to have been nominated and voted on to the council. It’s an honour to be part of very skilled and experienced Board of Directors whose aim is to help grow the SOFHT membership, continue to develop SOFHT as an organisation that helps support all the current and future members and the whole of the food industry. From small to medium enterprises, right through to the large food manufacturing groups I’ll be using the knowledge and experience I have built up over the 30 years working within the industry and representing Kersia as part of their mission to help our customers anticipate changes, protect their reputations and boost their sustainable performance.
