Holchem is proud to host and organise a conference focusing on the forthcoming Food Information for Consumers Regulations specifically addressing the topical aspect of food safety – food allergens.
Numerous studies across Europe and beyond have indicated that the number of consumers adversely reacting to components commonly found in food is rapidly increasing and mandatory labelling of pre-packed foods has been a legal requirement since 2004. This requirement is being extended in December 2014 to all food sold / provided to consumers and will have a significant impact on the catering and hospitality sectors.
Holchem has gained an enviable reputation in the food processing and manufacturing sector for their expertise in the management and control of food allergens over the past 10 years and is at the fore-front of practical implementation of the controls necessary to minimise the risks of adventitious cross-contamination.
With the date for compliance with the FIC rapidly approaching Holchem have organised a conference bringing together experts from consumer groups, legislators, training providers and cleaning to provide valuable information on ensuring consumer safety.
