Gary Featherstone celebrates 25 years at Holchem

Blog | 12 May 2020

Gary Featherstone, Engineering Systems Manager at Holchem has recently celebrated working at Holchem for 25 years. Gary joined the company back in April 1995.  He was already making equipment for Holchem when the job role as an engineer became available, and the rest is history.

He was Holchem’s first engineer and, at that time, the role was service based to provide engineering service to customers and, as the years passed, it eventually evolved into designing, installing and commissioning engineering systems.

The scope of Gary’s current role as Engineering Systems Manager ranges from internal projects, involvement in the ‘Major Accident and Hazard’ team, technical queries/information, visits to sites to assess customer needs, raising proposals for engineering solutions, raising engineering audit reports to advise customers on the best practice route forward to issues, in addition it includes liaising with suppliers, contractors and staying abreast of the latest regulations.

Commenting on his 25 years at Holchem Gary said:

The core values of the company have stayed the same throughout my 25 years and that’s probably the biggest contributing factor to the success of the company.  I really enjoy working at Holchem because of my fantastic work colleagues.  There’s a strong will to succeed and the passion given to the job by the employees of Holchem is second to none.  I also believe the ability of the company to provide honest information when providing great value for money solutions is what ensures it’s the best in the field and it’s also great working for an innovative growing company with a thirst to do better. No two days are the same and I relish in the variety of the role.

Darren Saunders from Holchem added:

Gary is such an integral part of the team here at Holchem, his knowledge is second to none and his work for customers is outstanding.  I know I can say on behalf of the whole team here that we value everything he has done and continues to do for the company.  Here’s to the next 25 years!
