Recently, our head of product, research and development, Dr Jim Taylour presented to the Provision Trade Federation on behalf of the British Association of Chemical Specialities (BACS) of which Holchem are members.
The presentation, which covers the regulatory challenges faced by the food industry and options on how they can be solved, included input from other Association members Sealed Air, Selden, Byotrol and the HSE.
It looks at the Biocidal Products Regulation, and the new Maximum Residual Levels which came into force in August 2015.

And also offers insight into relevant legislation about their use and what maximum residual levels are permitted following application. The presentation also details the 2015 HSE Statements on the use of DDAC and BAC in the preparation of food and outlines the monitoring programme used by the HSE to measure usage.
