Earlier this year, we were delighted to be invited onto the judging panel at ScotHot 2015.
Scothot was launched in 1973 and is Scotland’s largest hospitality, tourism and catering show. The show brings together key figures from across the best hospitality and catering establishments, as well as key suppliers to the industry.
Taking part in the judging of the live competitions, we were represented by Shaun Kent, National Retail Account Manager, along with Bill Walker, customer support advisor in the Scottish Region, who judged the contestants across a range of categories
This included the category for Scottish Junior Chef of the Year, which was won by James Foster of Loch Lomond Golf Club.
Bill Walker from Holchem presented The Junior Chef of the Year with his award, congratulating him on his performance.
As well as taking part in judging, Holchem also provided all of the chemical cleaning products, used across all competitions which made up the two-day event, ensuring that high quality food was cooked to the highest standards of cleaning and hygiene. This included workspace hygiene during competition, as well as ensuring that contestants complied with the relevant food safety legislation.
This was the first time Holchem had judged at ScotHot, and cements our position as an industry leader providing hygiene solutions across a variety of sectors, including hospitality.
Shaun Kent, who represented Holchem on the judging panel said: This was a fantastic opportunity to be part of one the top hospitality shows across the UK and Ireland. Being asked to take part in judging some of the top chef’s in Scotland was a great experience, and for the competition to use Holchem products across the two days was the icing on the cake!.
