Holchem is partnering with the Shield Safety Group on its ‘Safe To Trade’ scheme. The new safety standard was launched in May in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and gives venues in the hospitality sector an expert guarantee that proves a location has been rigorously assessed by a team of Environmental Health Practitioners and that the business has been deemed safe to trade.
It’s been developed by a panel of industry experts and aims to help restore consumer confidence and ensure staff who work in the industry are also protected.
Commentating on the scheme, Mike McHardy, Holchem’s Division Manager Foodservice & Facilities, said:
We’ve been working with lots of customers across the hospitality sector to help them get back to business, and the Safe to Trade scheme is an important part of that. Restoring consumer confidence by guaranteeing a venue is implementing rigorous hygiene plans and is committed to trading safely is key. It’s been developed by a team of leading experts and the assessments are carried out by Environmental Health practitioners which gives peace of mind to customers and the staff working in each location.
The Safe to Trade standard is designed to:
Join the Safe To Trade scheme to help the hospitality industry speed up recovery and restore consumer confidence.
