We are proud to support the Bury Hospice, a charity local to us here at Holchem HQ. We have raised funds for it through a number of different challenges and this year is no exception, as an intrepid team from Holchem will be taking on the National Three Peak Challenge on 30th June. It’s renowned as a physically challenging test of endurance as participants attempt to climb the highest mountains of England, Scotland and Wales within 24 hours. The total distance walked is estimated at 44 km (27 mi), with a total ascent of 9,800 feet (3,000 m).
We’ve set up a JustGiving page where we would be grateful if you could sponsor the team during their endurance challenge. www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Holchem3peaks
Walkers climb each peak in turn, and are driven from the foot of one mountain to the next. The three peaks are:
Ben Nevis/ Beinn Nibheis (1,344 m or 4,409 ft.), the highest mountain in Scotland
Scafell Pike (978 m or 3,209 ft.), the highest mountain in England
Snowdon/Yr Wyddfa (1,085 m or 3,560 ft.), the highest mountain in Wales
There’s a large team from Holchem who will be taking part, and encouraging each other to get through the gruelling challenge:
We wish them all the very best of luck on 30th June and we will let you know how they get on and how much money they raise for such a worthy cause.
