Kersia UK Ambassadors Take Part In Ashoka Program

We are delighted to announce that Kersia has teamed up with the Ashoka changemaker program. Ashoka is a worldwide organisation supporting social entrepreneurs aiming at changing systems for the good of all and envisions a world in which everyone is a changemaker: a world where all citizens are powerful and contribute to change in positive ways. To this end the Kersia and Ashoka’s eight-month program is designed to create a dynamic of questioning, dialogue and actions favourable to permanent adaptation within Kersia and to develop Kersia’s employees’ creativity, entrepreneurship, adaptability and emotional intelligence. It also supports the development of innovative social enterprises whose projects relate to Global Sustainable Development goals including Food Safety, which is at the heart of Kersia’s objectives.

There are a number of Kersia employees taking part in the program with four based in the UK. They recently took part in a very special three-day ‘Committed & Different’ seminar in France where together with other attendees they were able to learn a lot and create strong relationships essential to building a changemaker culture and community inside. They met with social-entrepreneurs and attended a visit from an agri-entrepreneur and an inclusive company who both spoke about concrete examples of how to think differently and act for a positive societal impact.

Nikki Bellamy, Kersia Technical Service Manager, who is taking part in the program alongside with other members of the Kersia UK team as: Sara Blanco (Technical manager & Project lead), Nicola McIntosh (SHEQ administrator) and Paula Capaldi (Technical sales consultant), commented:

“The three-day ‘Committed & Different’ course was full of inspiring and constructive shares and, beyond all, incredible human connections and strong relationships. With attendees from lots of different countries and cultures, the face-to-face seminar was truly inspirational and was jam packed full of initiatives that we have shared with the company and that can be implemented into our business. We even got to camp in the beautiful French countryside for the entire time we were there.”

Keep an eye out for the initiatives being implemented throughout our business as a result of the Ashoka program.
