On-Site 'Hygiene Practices' Session with Noon and J Sainsbury

We work closely with our customers to ensure they can help their clients see the way in which detailed hygiene routines are implemented on site and the level of work and technical knowledge that contributes to their success. It’s all part of our high levels of customer service and helping our customers achieve the best for their business.

We recently worked alongside our customer Noon, who are part of Pilgrim’s Food Masters and are specialists in producing authentic ethnic ready meals, when they welcomed a team of seven Technical Assistants from J Sainsbury plc to learn about Noon’s hygiene practice in a large high-risk food production factory. Noon and Sainsburys have a 30-year trading history and so have a close relationship of mutually working together.  Working alongside the Site Technical Manager and Noon Head of QSHE we were able to pass on valuable knowledge to the group to enable them to understand and assess hygiene practices early in their technical careers. The presentation covered both practical knowledge in the factory observing the hygiene teams and taking part in a swabbing exercise as well as a classroom session that covered the theory of cleaning and how to put a hygiene management plan together.

Commentating on the training session, Brian Ireland, Holchem Regional Sales Manager, said:

We have worked with Noon for over 25 years and were delighted when they asked us if we could partner with them to carry out the training session with the Technical Assistants from Sainsbury’s. It was a really interesting day for everyone involved and it was a pleasure to pass on our knowledge and expertise to everyone that took part.

It was great to be able to host the Technical Assistants from Sainsbury's and help coach them in their early technical careers. Together with Holchem we were able to give them valuable knowledge of hygiene theory, practice and management . This has given Noon both great engagement with Sainsbury's as business partner but also with the Technical Assistants who could be aligned to our category in the future.
