Team conquers The Three Peaks and raises over £5,000 in aid of Bury Hospice

A huge congratulations to the Holchem team that took part in this year’s National 3 Peak Challenge, with all sponsorship funds going direct to Bury Hospice.   Taking in Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowden the team of 17 intrepid explorers comprised mixed abilities and they all came together to ensure that everyone completed the three peaks.

They were ably supported by a team of drivers who ferried the climbers between all three destinations across the long 24 hours.  The team was lucky with good weather for the first two climbs however the rain came down when they arrived at Snowden and it stayed in place for the whole of the ascent and descent.  There were a few injuries, travel delays and physical exhaustion however the whole team came through and completed a phenomenal task.

Commenting on the event, Nicole Thompson, said: “It certainly was a gruelling 24 hours however we stuck together and really helped each other complete the challenge.  We are delighted to have raised over £5,000 for Bury Hospice, a charity close to our hearts here at Holchem. We’re now planning how we can raise even more funds next year!”
