Oscar Mayer specialises in making and developing retailer label prepared foods for the top UK grocery retailers across four sites. It has worked with Holchem for a number of years to ensure that the food it produces is safe and meets the stringent industry demands. Holchem was engaged to work with Oscar Mayer, on a site that it had not traditionally supplied, to help reinforce hygiene practices on the site.
Holchem carried out a full audit of Oscar Mayer’s needs which included the specific objectives in each factory on site, the hazards to be managed and the support and chemical products required coupled with cleaning systems and schedules to enable site to achieve the required standards and cost of clean.
Following the survey and proposal Oscar Mayer instructed Holchem to implement the proposed changes across the site. This included: optimising the clean, assistance with validating the clean, preparation of the hygiene management documentation, installation of signage and equipment and extensive training to the team; before a controlled change.
