Kersia UK are proud to be the key sponsor of the forthcoming Society of Food Hygiene & Technology (SOFHT) conference ‘Connecting Hygiene with the Factory of the Future’. 

Taking place on Wednesday 7th September at the National Centre for Food Manufacturing in Holbeach, Lincolnshire the day will cover a multitude of topics including:

  • Interconnected Hygiene - Mixing Man and Machine’, Janet Bellamy NCFM
  • Intelligent Automation for hygiene maintenance in food production settings’, Arnie Owen University of Lincoln
  • BRCGS Global Standard Food Safety Issue 9 - an evolution of food safety best practices’, Richa Bedi-Navik BRCGS

 

There will also be a number of break out groups and discussions including a Robotics Demo, a discussion on ‘The importance of end effectors’ and the chance for attendees to ‘Ask The Experts’.

Commentating on the event, Dave Childs, Kersia UK Technical Services Manager and Council member of SOFHT, said:

The aim of the conference is to bring together expertise from the worlds of hygiene automation, robotics, hygienic design and the crucial forthcoming BRCGS Global Standard for Food Safety – Issue 9 to provide an incredibly varied, interesting, and practical approach to address some of the diverse challenges that the food industry is faced with, from the difficulty in securing suitably qualified labour, to raw material supply and the return to face-to-face auditing.
