Kersia UK Supports Lincoln University Hygiene Specialist Apprentices

Kersia UK are proud to continue to support Lincoln University and its apprenticeship programmes. Last week, David Childs, Kersia Technical Services and Training Manager was on campus in Holbeach to deliver Cleaning & Disinfection training to this year’s Level 4 Hygiene Specialist apprentices.

The training included the topics of Detergent Chemistry, Water Chemistry and Effective Cleaning. David also shared industry insights with the apprentices and performed chemistry demonstrations in the laboratory to showcase reactions using different chemicals, chelating agents, surfactants and soiling.

Commenting on the session, David Childs said:

“It’s important that new entrants into the hygiene and cleaning sector are trained to the highest levels and it was a pleasure to be on site with the apprentices at Lincoln University and share my knowledge and insights with them. We wish them all the success with their course and future careers.”

Louise Sandall, Lecturer in Food Manufacturing, Lincoln University, added:

“It is great that Kersia continue to support the University of Lincoln and we all want to say a huge thank you to David for taking the time to support the Hygiene Specialist apprenticeship. The students fed back to say that the session was excellent, and the practical session really put the theory into practice.”
