Holchem was a sponsor of the recent Meat Business Women conference and Cath Chapman, Holchem National Accounts Manager, attended the inspiring event.  It provided all the delegates and speakers with the opportunity to learn, listen and share their experiences of working within the meat industry, and to also look to the future of the sector and the role of women.

Speakers included Paula Vennels, Group Chief Executive of the Post Office; Dame Lucy Neville-Rolfe, Chair of Assured Food Standards; Katie Doherty, Policy Director of International Meat Trade Association; Margaret Boanas, Chair of International Meat Trade Association and Adam Couch, CEO of Cranswick.

Commenting on the event Cath Chapman said: The conference was a truly inspirational day and showcased the great work that women are achieving within the meat industry.  It was interesting to hear all the different speakers and to gain valuable insight into their careers and how they’ve achieved their success.

The objectives of Meat Business Women are to assist in making the image, culture and landscape of the meat industry more attractive to female talent, skilfully improve networking and nurture new female entrants into the sector.  The recent conference certainly assisted in this and all the delegates benefitted from listening to the inspirational speakers and sharing their own personal experiences.
