2019 has been another successful year for Holchem as we finished a strong 12-month performance by winning the Society of Food Hygiene and Technology’s (SOFHT) Training Company of the Year.
Despite operating in a difficult economic climate, we have seen several strong new business wins further enhancing our position as the market leading provider of chemical cleaning solutions. The company achieved a record sales growth with an increase compared to last year of 8%. Our annual Customer Satisfaction survey saw an increase of 2% on last year’s result and clearly demonstrates the commitment shown to every customer by the entire Holchem team.
Holchem have supported the science of cleaning and disinfection through publications in reference books, through input into GFSI benchmarking standards, by working with EHEDG subgroups on topics such as: CIP and Cleaning Validation and with external presentations across the globe.
We worked alongside Irish company Dairy Direct to produce and launch the innovative dairy hygiene range Fourtress Dairy Hygiene into the UK dairy market. The range of products offers a new dimension in dairy parlour cleaning and hygiene and is built on Holchem’s experience of creating and supplying high quality, specialised cleaning products to the dairy industry in the UK for over 30 years.
The SOFHT win comes on the back of another successful year for the training teams. We have trained more than 3,000 operatives via eLearning, more than 700 delegates on Level 2, 3 & 4 courses with 62 courses delivered throughout 2019 in the UK and Ireland and more than 9,000 food and hygiene operatives via face to face training on Level 1 courses.
The technical and sales teams have supported our customers with over 340 technical audits providing an oversight or investigation of customer site hygiene and have carried out over 100 laboratory-based investigations for our customers.
