Last year a team from Holchem embarked on a huge challenge – completing the nation’s three peaks challenge in under 24 hours to raise vital funds for the Bury Hospice. The 17-strong team took on Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon and were supported by a team of drivers who drove the team to each destination.
In total the team raised an amazing £5,852 and last week they presented the cheque to Paul Fennelly from the Hospice. It was a proud moment for the Holchem team who trained hard for the grueling challenge.
We have carried out various fund raising activities for Bury Hospice over a number of years. As well as the cheque presentation, Paul Fennelly, of the hospice also talked to the Holchem team about the work the hospice carries out and how important a role it plays in the local community.
Commenting on the donation, Nicole Thompson, said: We were delighted to pass over the cheque to Bury Hospice and hear from the team about the work that is carried out there. Plans are in place for more fundraising activity in 2018 so watch this space for further details.
