Imperial works with Enfield Council to help clean COVID-19 Test Centres

Imperial Chemicals, part of the Kersia Group has been working with Enfield Council to great success on a number of projects using products from their extensive range to help neutralise specific odours in communal areas in housing blocks and help clean and disinfect the Council’s COVID-19 test centres and residential properties where there has been a positive case.

The products used across the Council’s housing estate include BC40, Urine Neutralizer and Imperial Virucidal Disinfectant and all three have delivered notable results.

Dennis Munns, Housing Services, Neighbourhood Caretaking Manager, explains:

“We have been using the Imperial products in public areas across our housing estate and the staff are really impressed with them.  The BC40 leaves a really pleasant smell behind which lasts far longer than other chemicals tested. When not used our residents have really noticed. It is an easy-to-use product in both moping and in spray bottles.

Alongside this we have recently started to use Urine Away on a regular basis and again it is very successful at removing smells which become ingrained into the concrete.  The smell of it is pleasant and this means residents notice that we have been and cleaned up.

“We’ve also been using Merlin’s Viricidal Disinfectant in our fogging machines at our COVID-19 test centres and blocks where a resident has tested positive. We tried different products at different price ranges, however this product proved best value and we had also noticed that many of the products left a sticky residue behind which was not suitable for the high traffic flow at the centres. This product did not leave any residue and is currently the only product being used.

“The Imperial team have been a great help in supporting us with advice and any product information required and meeting with our team either at our office or on site to give advice.”
